SiteGuru considers your privacy very important. The following document outlines our policies when dealing with the information you provide us.
INFORMATION THAT YOU PROVIDE
All the information that we request is compulsory for us to process your order. The information that you provide must be complete, accurate and current at the time of ordering.
In addition to the information you provide while ordering our services, we also maintain a record of whether and when you use the information and services that we provide. We use this information in order to assess the services that we provide and to ensure that they respond to your needs and interests. We also record site traffic patterns and maintain log files of users’ access to site files.
We may also track user traffic patterns throughout our web site and we use this information to compare with data about individual users.
SECURITY OF INFORMATION
The information that you provide and which we receive is stored on systems that are designed to prevent the loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction of that information. Sensitive information, such as credit card details and passwords, are encrypted to ensure maximum protection and protect the information from unauthorised access.
As a reseller of an ICANN accredited registrar we have access to the registrar’s WhoIs database that is accessible by any user. The information that is available from domain name registrations includes the registered domain name and the name, email address and telephone number of the point of contact. The amount of information that is disclosed on the WhoIs database may change from time to time and is regularly reviewed by the registrar.
YOUR RIGHTS TO ACCESS / CHANGE INFORMATION
You have the right and we encourage you to correct or change information in our records such as address and contact information. You may do this by accessing your account in the client area. You can make changes at any time and as often as you need to maintain currency and accuracy of the information.
SiteGuru may from time to time use this contact information to get in contact with you when necessary and for announcements and newsletters sent by us for information associated with your service. Financial information that is collected is used to bill you for products and services.
To comply with our contractual obligations, our registrar provides your domain name and the IP numbers to the appropriate registry. This information is provided to ensure that the domain name operates as a functional address on the Internet.
We also share your information, including sensitive information, with those entities that we engage to perform certain necessary functions such as managing your account. We do not share your information with other third parties except when specified to you and where we are obliged by court order or other request from a law enforcement authority.
Further, we share the information, including sensitive information, with our registrar. We may also share the information, except sensitive information, with selected business partners and advertisers. If you do not want us to share your information with our business partners you may email us at the address found in this web site.
At all times we will never share your personal information beyond the points outlined in this agreement, without your permission. Your email addresses are not for sale or trade and are strictly guarded.
When you purchase our services there is a mutual obligation: for you to provide certain information and for us to safeguard the information and to use and protect it as stated in this statement. It is our practice to permit only those employees who are authorised to access and use your information for the purposes outlined in this statement. Furthermore, we and our business partners and other authorised entities are permitted to access and use the information of our customers only for the purposes which we and our registrar specified and not beyond those purposes.
All services are supplied subject to our standard Term and Conditions.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
